The role:

As our Procurement Manger, you'll support and collaborate with internal customers across the Octopus Group to source and negotiate technology/software supplier agreements that drive quality and efficiency. You'll get under the skin of what our teams need to deliver a world-class service; building relationships that ensure you and your expertise are involved from conception through to delivery. Alongside tenacious negotiation skills, you'll need the commercial awareness and vision to develop category suppliers and a wider sourcing strategy that ensure we can continue driving innovation within the octopus group.


  • Source, negotiate and manage key technology contracts across Octopus.
  • Develop innovative purchasing solutions that drive savings and quality.
  • Deliver supply contracts that meet commercial needs and protect Octopus' interests
  • Review and develop the current and prospective supplier base to improve competitiveness and performance.
  • Build relationships across Octopus to ensure Procurement is involved from conception and works across silos.
  • Drive supplier, product and service rationalisation to improve quality and leverage opportunities.
  • Support the PO process, including challenging customers where lack of procurement involvement produces sub-optimal results.


  • You're educated to a degree level or have extensive strategic procurement experience.
  • Have a proven track record delivering cost savings through negotiation and strategy.
  • Have the research and analytical skills to identify and leverage key market drivers.
  • Have demonstrable experience within Software/Technology
  • Be able to use spend data, manage contracts and use procurement tools.
  • Understand contract law and key clauses.
  • Have strong organisational skills, able to deliver multiple projects under pressure
  • You like to roll your sleeves up and get stuff done.
  • You're humble, and surround yourself by people better than you.

This position requires you to work from our offices in Central London. However we do offer flexible working hours and have a work-from-home policy.
